it’s safe to say that July 4th and 5th, 2008 is a weekend that Starting on
July 4th, the city will be hosting the 4th of July parade departing from
Heritage Glen and ending with a fantastic opening ceremony at the If you
enjoyed last year’s fireworks; wait until you see what we have in store
for you this year.
It’s bigger, it’s better, and it’s the culmination of a
year’s meticulous planning that will leave you breathless!
We have got some incredible bands lined up to keep the park hopping the
entire weekend. The Monroe Middle School, Junior High, and High School Bands
performing along some of the best sounds from the 60’s, 70’s, and
80’s. We’ve enlisted some of the very best of
This year’s event has doubled from a one day activity to a full two day
event. We have entertainment lined up that will please young and old alike
for both days
– everything from Bingo, Rides and games for the kids, a fabulous car
show, pie baking contest, all-the-way to the Buffalo Wing & Rings –
wing eating contest…
